Public Health … Environmental Safety … Affordability
This year, Michigan residents will dispose of more than 50 million cubic yards of Michigan trash — enough to fill the Pontiac Silverdome fifteen times over. Thanks to the Michigan Waste Industries Association and its members, this waste will be handled in a way that balances health, safety and affordability.
MWIA members work together to research and support innovative technologies that protect all Michigan residents and the state’s rich environmental heritage. We also support regulatory change that leads to improved industry effectiveness and keeps costs low for consumers.
